Laurie Barrie has called the Palouse region home since 1981, finding endless inspiration in the beauty that surrounds the area. Although she has always loved creativity, whether through music, quilt making, or classical piano, Laurie discovered her deep artistic joy later in life. Encouraged by memories of her grandmother- a talented painter who worked beautifully in all mediums- Laurie began exploring watercolor as a way to express emotion, light, and connection. Her work reflects a passion for color and an appreciation for the beauty of the world around her.
