About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The Palouse Watercolor Socius brings together watercolor artists of various skill levels to grow and inspire each other in our shared passion. We welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings at the historic 1912 center in Moscow, Idaho for art demonstrations, planning upcoming exhibits, and art critiques. Meetings take place at 10am on the first Wednesday of each month. Check out our latest updates to see where we will be exhibiting our work!

Our Story

The group was founded in 1974 by Linda Wallace, Penny David, Kay Montgomery, Rene Helbling, Jo Thompson, and Dorothy Shelton. Its mission is to encourage and promote watercolor artists, as well as to create an awareness of water media on the Palouse. The group strives to give back to the local community through donations of artwork or funding. Anyone with an interest in art is welcome to attend a meeting.
