Ernie Weiss was born in Yakima, Washington, and grew up on an apple orchard in the Naches Heights area, West of Yakima.  His love of nature came from working on the farm and exploring the near by mountains, streams and rivers. 

He has a degree in Architecture, and a Masters in Business Administration which served him well in his 40 years in various fields of Architecture. 

Although watercolor painting is relatively new to him, he has a lot of fun in expressing his love of nature and architecture.
