Cheryll's artist's statement: "Though I initially studied art in college, my painting was put on the back burner for years while other interests and work occupied my time and energy. I began actively painting again in 2006 and, since that time, have had work accepted in four juried shows. I have exhibited work in a variety of shows including Moscow’s annual Artwalk, the Latah County Fair, and the Palouse Watercolor Society’s annual show held at the Dahmen Barn. I am a member of the Palouse Watercolor Socius, the Northwest Watercolor Society and a merit member of the Idaho Watercolor Society."
One of Cheryll's paintings, "Pears" (see first photo below) was selected for the cover of the Good Fruit Grower Magazine's September 2016 issue. This is a beautiful magazine distributed all over the United States and in fifty other countries.
Cheryll submitted her painting in memory of her late mother-in-law, Lucille Root. Read more about Cheryll's story at Good Fruit Grower
